We carry out a thorough inspection of the oven, making sure that it is all working and checking for any damage, any initial faults will be noted with a suitable solution advised

2

We then cover up all surrounding areas adjacent to the oven, including kitchen worktops and flooring with protective sheeting

3

Find the isolator to the oven and switch it off at the mains.

4

Next is to carry out a “Complete Strip Down” we remove the oven doors, remove the glass from the door (where possible) remove all the racks, side panels, back panels, light covers, seals and grill pan.

5

Also the fan is removed (electric ovens only), and placed in very hot water.

6

Then we give the oven an initial scrape to remove baked on fat and grease and spray degreaser all around the inside of the oven (please be rest assured that the oven can take a scrape down as it is constructed of enamel which is an extremely hardworking surface, in turn we are very skilled at using scrapers

7

The removed parts from the oven are taken to the dip tank in the van and place inside, back blading the racks to remove any stubborn carbon

8

We then start the clean of the inside of the oven using a scrapper, oven paste, wire scourers and wire toothbrushes. Washing back with a damp sponge and drying with micro fibre cloth

9

Once all of the baked-on carbon has been removed. Next is to scour the inside of the oven with a dry wire scourer (this give the oven a shine) then with a very clean and a dry micro fibre cloth polish up the inside of the oven making it look brand new again.

10

We remove the fan from the hot water (this softens the carbon on the fan) then wire brush the fan removing all the carbon and then use a pink Brillo pad which is soap filled with a little drop of water and scour the fan to a nice silver shine. Clean the nut, which is used to hold the fan on.

11

Then we switch the oven back on and set the clock (without the clock set the oven will not start), turn the oven and grill on full blast to burn any degreaser away.

12

The last item to clean is the door, using degreaser, a soft scouring pad, sponge and micro fibre cloth carefully remove all carbon from inside the glass and turn the door over to do the front. Around the inside of the door it will be enamel on this any stubborn carbon will be removed with scrapers and wire scourers, the outside of the door will be glass or stainless steel this is cleaned with sponges and micro fibre cloths. Once completed the glass in the door will be crystal clean.

13

We return to the van and remove the racks from the dip tank and wash back with water any carbon left on the racks and glass will be removed with a scourer or sponge.

14

Finally we reassemble the oven, back panel side racks, replace the door, and then test the whole oven again making sure the fan is spinning correctly and not touching the back panel making it clank.

15

After packing tools away leave the working area clean and tidy. Carry out a final completed inspection of the oven and hand over a job completion report
